Managing Data through Big Data: A Review

A B S T R A C T Big Data applies to information that can’t be processed or analyzed using traditional processes or tools. For decades, companies have been making business decisions based on transactional data stored in relational databases. However, there is a potential treasure of non-traditional data derived from various sources such as social media, emails, online surveys etc that can be mined for useful information. With the decrease in the cost of storage and computation, it has become possible for enterprises to use this data to reap maximum benefits. This paper aims at presenting an insight into the vast paradigm of Big Data.
