Production Control and Information Systems

Within recent years the commercial availability and implementation of software packages for production planning and control have suddenly increased in the Federal Republic of Germany (see Fig. 10.1). One major reason for this development is their favorable cost in comparison with software developed in-house. The quality of these software packages has also increased.
