Hierarchical structures of fuzzy ratings in the analysis of strategic goals of enterprises

Abstract Analysis of strategic goals of enterprises involves simultaneous consideration of various goals, subgoals and strategies which are changed according to situations and problems, and it is a complex, unstructured, ill-defined process, incorporating multiattribute comparisons and impreciseness of the data. To cope with this analysis, a methodology, integrating the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) procedure, ‘what-if’ analysis, fuzzy sets and fuzzy arithmetic, is proposed in this paper.
