Multiple Criteria Company Benchmarking Using the BIPOLAR Method

The paper presents the multiple criteria analysis approach to the company benchmarking measurement and analysis. The key phases of benchmarking process are identified according to the current theoretical and practical experience related to benchmarking method. For comparisons and analysis phase of benchmarking process the use of MCDA method BIPOLAR is suggested. It helps to measure the company performance improvement against the performance levels considered as the standard of excellence for a specific business process and against company own standard from the beginning of the self-assessment process. The evaluation criteria and weight coefficients are given by the requirements of European Business Excellence Model.
