IET Road Pricing 2008 Conference, London, 9-10 Dec 2008

This was the 6th conference in the series since 1999. There were 21 papers presented, plus two panel sessions. The date marks the 50th anniversary of Britain's first motorway, the Preston By-pass, opened on 5th December 1958 by the Prime Minister, Harold Macmillan - just 52 years after the first proposal for a UK `motorway' - in 1906. Is this an augury for road pricing?
