A hybrid approach to dynamic-wavelength blocking/equalizing and optical-power monitoring

In optical communication systems, dynamic wavelength blocking/equalizing and power monitoring are two inseparable functions, but they are provided by two individual modules. This paper describes a hybrid-integration approach to dynamic-wavelength blocking/equalizing and optical power monitoring, which provides advantages such as higher wavelength blocking efficiency and lower fabrication cost. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
