Ethernet ring protection switching method and nodes

The invention discloses an ERPS (Ethernet Ring Protection Switching) method and nodes. The method comprises the following steps: when a first ERPS port fails, the first node clears MAC (Medium Access Controller) address forwarding tables of a first ERPS port and a second ERPS port and simultaneously converts multiple ports including the first ERPS port and the second ERPS port into broadcast states, wherein the second ERPS port is another ERPS port other than the first ERPS port; when an MAC message is received, the port in the multiple ports is used for sending the MAC message to the node other than the node connected with the first ERPS port in the node connected with the first node and the node outside the node for sending the MAC message in a broadcasting manner; when the MAC address forwarding tables of the first ERPS port and the second ERPS port are cleared, the multiple ports are converted into forwarding states, MAC address learning is performed according to a broadcast path of the MAC message to obtain a target MAC address forwarding table of the second ERPS port, and the target MAC address forwarding table is taken as the second ERPS port to forward the MAC address forwarding table of the MAC message. Through implementing the ERPS method disclosed by the embodiment of the invention, the ERPS efficiency can be improved.
