Numerical analysis of stress singularities at a bonded anisotropic wedge

Abstract The boundary value problem for a bonded anisotropic wedge under a state of generalized plane strain has been formulated using Lekhnitskii's complex variable method. The resulting eigenvalue problem is then solved numerically. The eigenvalues obtained from the present procedure are compared with the published results for special cases and good agreement between these solutions is observed. In addition, stress singularities have been obtained for various wedge geometries and material properties.
