Design and Analysis of the Formula Student Car Body Based on CFD

Firstly, shape and size determination and CATIA modeling are carried out for the car body and aerodynamic kit. This paper introduces and analyzes the load and resistance of the FSC body. Then, CFD analysis was used to simulate the wind tunnel test, ICEM-CFD and ANSYS Fluent were used to mesh the computational grid of the car body and set the parameters according to the actual requirements, numerical simulation technique was used to simulate the airflow field around the car body. The post-processor comes with Fluent is used to sort out the solved data, which is presented in the form of charts and pressure color block diagrams, so as to facilitate the optimized design of the FSC body.
