Technological benchmarking of products using the data envelopment analysis: an application to segments 'A' and 'B' of the Italian car market

This paper uses data envelopment analysis (DEA) to carry out a competitive benchmarking study to compare 29 car models of the Italian market segments 'A' and 'B' sold in the last twenty years. Product features are identified and some indexes are constructed to implement DEA.
