2-D Linear Phase FIR Digital Filter Design using TLBO

In this paper, minimax design of circularly symmetric 2-dimensional finite impulse response digital filters using an elitist version of the teaching-learning-based optimization is presented. A discrete frequency grid based on octagonal symmetry design is used for optimization. Circularly symmetric 2-dimensional FIR lowpass digital filter of different filter sizes are designed and the results are given along with those obtained by a recent design method.
