Window switching method and apparatus

The application discloses a window switching method and apparatus. The method comprises: when a window switching instruction that comprises a target window to be switched to is received, determining a window type of a current window and the target window; if it is found that the window type of both the current window and the target window is a non-continuous display window, hiding the current window to a backstage, and reading the target window hidden in the backstage for display. According to the switching method disclosed by the application, in a process of switching between non-continuous display windows, the current window is hidden instead of being destroyed in the prior art, so that the target window to be switched to can be found from the window hidden in the backstage and read for display. In the process, it is not required to create and load a new window, so that a window switching time is greatly reduced, and a window switching speed is improved.
