Research Progress of Machined Surface Integrity for High Stress Steel Cutting Process

Workpiece performance is decided by its machined surface integrity to a great extent,and surface quality is a very important index to choose suitable process.In this paper the importance and necessity of researching on machined surface integrity,and then this paper introduces the latest achievement on geometry characteristics and physical characteristics of surface integrity,also this paper introduces the achievement of modeling for surface integrity both at home and abroad.To provide theoretical basis for practical processing,the effect of surface integrity on workpiece performance is also discussed,and finaly research development trend of surface is prospected in this paper.
