Valor da TI na Perspectiva das Capacidades Internas: Uma análise de Desempenho Multinível

Os beneficios da Tecnologia da Informacao (TI) comumente sao investigados na perspectiva dos retornos diretamente no nivel da firma, a partir de recursos isolados de TI, sendo que sua analise em nivel intermediario ao da firma - sob o prisma das capacidades de TI internas - e uma abordagem incipiente na literatura. Os resultados inconclusivos sobre os impactos da TI no desempenho da firma e a busca pelo valor das capacidades de TI em niveis intermediarios de desempenho fundamentam o objetivo de pesquisa, a saber: identificar em que medida as capacidades de TI internas impactam diretamente no desempenho em nivel de processos e indiretamente no desempenho em nivel de firma. Para isso, esta pesquisa adota como metodo a survey , aplicada a gestores de negocio e de TI. Os dados serao analisados com a Modelagem de Equacoes Estruturais, para teste das hipoteses de relacionamento entre os construtos. Como contribuicoes da pesquisa, esperam-se: i) a identificacao do papel das capacidades de TI internas como construto de segunda ordem, em suas multi-facetas; ii) a construcao de instrumento que auxilie nas justificativas de investimentos em TI pelos executivos da area.
