Improvement Techniques for Enhancing Communication in Expert Systems

Ibrahim Hydri Road, Korangi Creek, Karachi-75190, Pakistan. * * C Although the technology of representing and using knowledge in expert systems has been a major focus of artificial intelligence (AI) research for a few decades, however, the practical problems encountered for building such systems have only recently become a topic of intensive research. This paper focuses and addresses the problems of identifying difficulties of communication in the process of eliciting information from one or more human experts for the purpose of building a knowledge base. The paper also presents some effective knowledge acquisition methods and tools and their merits and demerits.
