Reply to comment on: ‘Predicting the efficacy of radiotherapy in individual glioblastoma patients in vivo: a mathematical modeling approach’

In a comment received regarding our 2010 manuscript Predicting efficacy of radiotherapy in individual glioblastoma patients in vivo: a mathematical modeling approach (Rockne et al 2010) the readers ’ perform a dimensional analysis and suggest that terms in the proliferation invasion radiation therapy (PIRT) mathematical model appear to have inconsistent units, and as a result, the readers claim, ‘ all results should be regarded with reserve. ’ While we appreci-ate the readers ’ careful analysis of our manuscript, we believe this concern amounts to little more than an inconsequential subtlety in the interpretation of our model, as we explain below.
