Using the Longman Mini-concordancer on Tagged and Parsed Corpora, with Special Reference to Their Use as an Aid to Grammar Learning

This paper presents methods to use the Longman Mini-Concordancer on tagged and parsed corpora, rather than plain text corpora. Several aspects are discussed with models to be applied in the classroom as an aid to grammar learning, which creates a more student-centred and data-driven study style. The exercises suggested in the paper are suitable for teaching English to both native and non-native speakers. At the same time, the tagged and parsed corpora are also rich resources for teachers to prepare lessons with appropriate examples. Copyright
