The invention discloses a multi-window display system of a flat-panel display screen. The multi-window display system comprises a customizing module for recording a multi-window display strategy of the flat-panel display screen, a management module for controlling the multi-window display of the flat-panel display screen, including corresponding content display in corresponding display windows according to the display information and updating of the contents of the corresponding display windows according to defined update frequencies, according to the multi-window display strategy of the flat-panel display screen, wherein the display strategy comprises the steps of dividing the flat-panel display screen into multiple display windows, defining display information of each display window and configuring the sizes, positions and update frequencies of the display windows. The multi-window display system can display different contents for each family member in the same display screen through multiple windows respectively and facilitate usage of users. The invention further discloses a smart television including the multi-window display system.
