SVM-based face verification with feature set of small size

An efficient algorithm for face verification is presented, which uses support vector machines with the feature set extracted by genetic algorithms (GA). By using the GA in selecting the discriminating feature set, we obtain a high recognition rate even with a small amount of memory.
