Study by laser Doppler anemometry of the turbulent flow induced by a Rushton turbine in a stirred tank: Influence of the size of the units—II. Spectral analysis and scales of turbulence

Abstract The effects of the size of the vessels and of the rotational speed of the turbine on the spectral analysis of anemometric signals were studied in an agitated tank; the energy spectrum and correlation coefficient, time and spectral integral scales, the turbulent diffusion coefficient, the viscous energy dissipation rate and the turbulence microscale were determined and discussed.
