Study on Real-time Detection of Harmonics and Reactive Currents in Single Phase Circuit

In order to meet the demand of detecting instantaneous harmonics and reactive currents in single phase circuit,a new method is proposed for real——time detection of harmonics and reactive currents in single phase circuit.By the use of the characteristics of triangle function, the fundamental active and reactive currents are obntained through calculation, finally the harmonics current is obtained. The advantages of this method are shown in the following aspects.Firstly, the whole circuit configuration is simple and low-cost;Secondly,it can detect not only the any current component in distorted current but also the sum of the harmonics and reactive currents;Thirdly, the outcome of the harmonics current is not affected by the distortion of the voltage; Finally,in order to compensate the delay of the low pass filter, the harmonics and reactive currents are used as feedback,so the speed of dynamic response is accelerated. The theoretical analysis and simulation illustrate the effectivity and performance of the proposed method.
