A Clinical Study on the Influence of Acupuncture on Experimen- tal Mental fatigue

Objective: To compare the influence of natural condition and magnetic acupuncture on experimental mental fatigue of drivers. Methods: 14 healthy young males were allocated to A and Br-groups randomly after continuous mime driving experiment for 120 minutes. Group A was not recieved any treatment, and group B was treated by needling Neiguan (PC 6), Hegu (1,1 4) and Fengchi (GB 20) acupoints with Haci Five Elements needle. The Critical Flicker frequency (CFF) and blood pressure were measured before and alter the experiment. Results: The CFF and blood pressure were decreased in group B after experiment, showing a significant difference ( P 0. 05) as compared with group A. Conclusion: Magnetic acupuncture of specific acupoints can markedly reduce the mental iatigue in young males.
