Common Rail HSDI 엔진에서 각종 변수가 엔진성능에 미치는 영향

Diesel engine powered passenger cars and light commercial vehicles are gaining increasing attentions from most of European countries and some other countries such as Japan and Korea. One of the most important technological advances in these recent move is attributed to the inovation of high pressure direct fuel injection system (FIE) which can be further represented by so called "Common Rail" FIE system. Another very dominant trend of the high speed direct injection (HSDI) engines on the market demand is the variable geometry turbocharger (VGT) which can overcome the typical weak point of most of turbocharged engines. In this paper some aspects of VGT parmaters and the fuel injection variables are discussed to see their potential for further improvement and refinement of HSDI engine perfonnance and emissions.
