흙건축 재료 및 공법의 이해를 위한 교육 프로그램 연구

With a recent rapid interest in “eco-friendly architecture” and “ecological architecture,” more people have wanted to construct an earth house known to be eco-friendly and beneficial to health. However, many of them have tended to build it with a sense of high expectations and curiosity without having a basic knowledge in it. In such cases, there would be limitations in the methods of various expressions that could be found in earth and there would also be difficulties in its construction. For this reason, it would be important to have basic education through which one could have a more accurate understanding of earth as well as to acquire relevant techniques. This study was aimed to supplement the limitations and problems of existing earth construction education programs and suggest a new education program for earth construction, in which the material characteristics of earth and its methods of construction could be more easily understood even by non-majors. In the education program suggested as a result of this study, one could have an understanding of its materials and methods of coㅇnstruction, by applying four of its construction methods after understanding the material characteristics of earth construction through the optimum micro-filler experiment. Besides, it was expected that there would be improvements in non-majors’ abilities to adapt to actual fields, by confirming the ways of preventing cracks, expressing strength, and enhancing a resistance to water realistically necessary when building an earth house.
