Performance analysis of low power transmitters for wireless sensor nodes

A 1.2 V, 2.4 GHZ ASK and FSK transmitters suitable for low power wireless sensor network is designed and implemented. The performance of the transmitters are analyzed to meet the unique requirements of wireless micro sensor nodes. Emphasis was placed on observing device reliability constraints such as supply voltage and the operating frequency at low power to maximize the life time of the wireless sensor nodes. The performance of the ASK and FSK transmitters are compared with previously reported low power approaches operating in similar frequency ranges.
