A bandwidth-symmetric, scalable NGN FTTH system: Demonstration of full-duplex, asynchronous, DPSK-OCDMA system with 10Gbps × 4-uplink and 8-downlink without FEC

Full-duplex, asynchronous, 10Gbps DPSK-OCDMA system on same wavelength using hybrid multi-port and SSFBG en/decoder is experimentally demonstrated. Error-free (BER≪10−9) transmissions for all channels of both up- (4-user) and down- (8-user) link are obtained.
