PERSONAL AND WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS : DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY AND STANDARDS

This book focuses on the wireless access technology used for the common air interface designed to support Personal Communications Systems (PCS). It first gives a detailed overview of digital wireless communications technology. Examples are then given of two major wireless access systems that have been standardized to support PCS: Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) systems and Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) systems. The book concludes with highlights of other wireless access standards for PCS.
