The design and implementation of roller's calibration system in steel plant based on total station

Roller system equipment is always wear-out and deviates from its original position, which leads to the change of its spatial relationship. Ulteriorly, it may also prompt a series of problems such as wrinkle, off-tracking, edge overflow or bad profile. According to the current situation above, we have designed and implemented a roller's calibration system based on total station. Firstly, the measuring scheme of scatter coordinates is devised; then by using the data processing algorithm, some significative parameters of single roller and the whole system will be figured out. The software of this calibration system is developed with C#. It manifests the deviation graphically to calibrate the spatial location of the roller system. As a result of plenty of field tests, it proves that by and large this calibration system has meant target needs and ensured the accuracy. It can help to improve the capacity, quality and efficiency after putting into practical production.
