Aero -acoustic Simulation of a Double Diaphragm Using Lattice Boltzmann Method

‡§ The work described in this paper is part of an ev aluation into the use of CAA methods for aircraft climate control systems at Airbus. The paper presents the interaction of a shear layer generated by a diaphragm impinging on a second diaphragm using the commercial code PowerFLOW, which is based on the Lat tice Boltzmann Method (LBM). The analysis will be focusing on the accuracy of the LBM in predicting the magnitude and frequency of the pressure fluctuations. This is performed through a correlation with experimental measurements that were provided by Airbu s.
