Research on the Power Cable Fire Spreading and Forecasting

The heat-decomposed dynamic model of solid combustibles and the large eddy simulation of combustions were utilized presently to investigate the cable fire in a table channel.The time of cables to ignite,the speed of flame on the cable surface,the distributions of the smoke temperature,species concentration and velocity,and the instantaneous variations of the temperatures on the cable insulated skin and the channel wall with time were obtained.The conclusion can be used for the design of automated fire protection systems.
