The comparison study of two sensitivity analysis methods for static N-1 security check

In static security analysis,the principal methods for static N-1 branch outage simulation include DC power method,compensation method and sensitivity analysis method.In this paper,the fundamental principle of sensitivity analysis method was introduced in detail.Then comparsion is made between the two different sensitivity analysis algorithms,one of which is based on partial derivative of compund function and the other is based on the equations of Taylor series expansion,by consideing the calculation process of the equivalent power injecting at the terminal buses of the outaged branch and the precision and complexity of the two algorithms.Taken north China power grid for example,static N-1 simula-tion results show that the two algorithms have high degree of accuracy and the computing speed is quick enough for online usage.
