The Full-Range Picture Vocabulary Test Compared with two Short Forms of the Wechsler Scale

THE AMMONS Full-Range Picture Vocabulary Test purports to be a brief screening device for child and adult intelligence classification. This test consists of 16 cards containing four drawings on each. The subject is instructed to point to any one of the four pictures on a given card which best depicts a test word. There are 85 words in forms A and B of the Ammons Test. The raw score consists of the total number of correct selections for the 16 cards. The raw score is then trans formed into a mental age equivalent for a child subject and a percentile rating for an adult. The test should not ordinarily take more than ten minutes to administer and score.
