Role of Institutional Pattern to Downstream Process of Technological Innovation from Balitbangtan (The Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Research and Development): Jarwo Super Technology in West Java and South Sulawesi

Balitbangtan (The Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Research and Development) strives to provide technology innovation and institutional pattern which will help to advance the development of agriculture. Since, they must comply to specific location and their respective users that always change over time, it is therefore mandatory to have both technology and institutional pattern to conform accordingly. This study aims to assess the role of recent institutional pattern in its association with the downstream process of Jarwo Super Technology. Here, this research assessed the institutional pattern for the downstream process of Jarwo Super Technology for the case of West Java and South Sulawesi. The author carried focus group discussion with reliable informant to gain information. It was found that the current institutional pattern, in accordance with the current situation of Jarwo Super Technology where a number of its component were not adopted, must be revised.
