Introduction Time-lapse (4D) seismic data are becoming more and more important for monitoring and planning the production of oil and gas fields. Modelling the expected seismic response to production is therefore useful when planning repeated seismic surveys and may serve as a guide when analysing such data. It is therefore vital that the production effects are modelled as realistic as possible. A typical time-lapse seismic analysis workflow is depicted in Figure 1.
