THE ALSEA WATERSHED STUDY: Effects of Logging on the Aquatic Resources of Three Headwater Streams of the Alsea River, Oregon Part II – Changes in Environmental Conditions

Project AFS-58 Final Report (part 2) The second of three reports on a 15-year study to determine the effects of logging on the aquatic resources of three tributaries of the lower Alsea River. The study took place from 1959-1973. Primary objectives included in-depth study of population characteristics of fish species in the studied tributaries, direct and indirect effects of logging on fish, and a comparison of two common logging techniques on physical and biological properties of streams. Part I includes the results of the biological investigations during the study and can be found here: http://hdl.handle.net/1957/59738 Part II includes the results of the environmental measurements during the study and can be found here: http://hdl.handle.net/1957/59749 Part III includes discussion, summary, and recommendations based on the study and can be found here: http://hdl.handle.net/1957/59751 There is also a preliminary report that can be found here: http://hdl.handle.net/1957/59756
