ADAPTIVE FAULT TOLERANT STRATEGY FOR HYBRID SYSTEMS WITH FAULTS INDEPENDENTLY EFFECTING ON OUTPUTS

Abstract This paper proposes a fault tolerant strategy for for a kind of hybrid system, namely switched linear systems (SLS) with faults independently effecting on system outputs. SLS considered here have a certain dwell time for each mode. The proposed method diagnoses faults through an adaptive observer technique and reconfigures the control law online by using fault estimation. The stability of the overall system in the presence of faults is intensively discussed both in the synchronous and asynchronous cases. The effect of the estimation error on outputs is also discussed. A numerical example is taken to show the efficiency of the proposed method.
