IoT solution for bad habit of car security

One major research topic in car security is the car alarm system. Most researches either focus on how to protect a car from thieves using detection agents or alarm systems. In this technical paper, we will focus on another area of car security, and that is how to protect a car from unexpected activities of car owners. For instance, when the owner forgets to turn off the headlights, tail lights and or interior lights which drain battery power, or when the owner forgets to close the windows, leading to car theft. These unintentional events are called a car owner's daily bad habits. To help car owners get rid of these bad habits, we will apply the Internet of Things (IoT) to detect these habits and use mobile applications to monitor and alarm the owner. We will name of mobile application “Car Alert” which alerts you when you forget to turn off the car lights or close the windows when the engine is off. The devices used to monitor each event consists of noise sensors (monitoring the engine), light sensors (monitoring the car lights), and button sensors (for the car windows). The detected values of each device will be stored on a Cloud, which enables quick access from the mobile application.
