An design of all-weather RFID tag antenna

In this paper, a compact RFID tag antenna that can be used not only on metal surface but also on non-metal surface is proposed. Based on its design concept, the antenna can be operated on almost all materials in theory. To meet the necessary requirements of placing on any shape surfaces, rubber is used as the antenna substrate. Simulation results show that its impedance bandwidth is 902 ~ 928MHz with S11 <; -10 dB, which covers the main RFID band of China, Australia and America. The antenna is designed to be driven by Monza 5 chip whose input impedance is 14.6 - j161 Ω.
