Immersed Boundary Method for Compressible Turbulent Flow Computations in Building-Cube Method

An immersed boundary method coupled with the gridless method is developed for solving the compressible Navier-Stokes equations using a block-structured Cartesian grid method named Building-Cube Method(BCM). To improve the efficiency and accuracy in case of high-Reynolds number flow, wall function is applied to the governing equations to model a thin boundary layer near the wall. It is tested for laminar to turbulent flow in two dimensional cases to validate the capability for aeronautical applications.
