Analysis and Design of Type-2 Fuzzy Controller an d Observer Based on TS Model

This paper addresses the application to controlli ng of a new system method, type-2 FLS(fuzzy logic system). The basic concept and operations of type-2 fuzzy sets and systems are introduced, the output forms of type-2 FLS rules are deduced based on the TS model, and the analysis and desig n of the type-2 fuzzy controller and observer are given on the basis of the TS model. The numerical simulation on an inverted pendulum cart is given to confirm the theory. At the end of this paper, the analysis and comparison among the tra ditional method, type-1 FLS method and type-2 FLS method are discussed.
