Design of nonsingular terminal sliding surface for DC motor system with uncertainty

Most of control schemes proposed so far have been focused on the verification of asymptotic stability even though the finite time control is very important in the actual industrial applications. Recently, nonsingular terminal sliding mode control systems have been studied to guarantee that the error gets to zero in a finite time. The nonsingular terminal sliding surface proposed so far used a power function whose exponent is a rational number with an odd number over and odd number. Thus, in this paper, we propose a novel nonsingular terminal sliding mode surface using power function whose exponent can be a rational number.
