The temporal Fresnel diffractive field of a grating illuminated by an ultrashort pulsed-laser beam

An analytical expression is given to calculate the temporal Fresnel diffractive field of a grating illuminated by an ultrashort pulsed-laser beam. Numerical simulation shows that the temporal diffractive intensity distribution is different from that of the input pulse if the width of the input pulse is within several tens of femtoseconds. It is useful to develop a new simple reshaping method for an ultrashort pulse from our approach.
