Study on the Geometry Modeling for Corn Root System

Through close observations and researches on the rules and characters of the structure, growth, distribution of corn root system in the growth process, the growth model that describes roots growth process was set up. Based on the parameters of time and shape offered by the growth model, the mathematic model for changes on shapes in root system of corn was brought forward. By the meanings of techniques of Computer Graphics and Particle System, the 3-Dimension Visualization of leaf growth process was realized on computers. The result can basically reflect the rules of real corn root system during growing. The advantages of the model are as the following: the structure is simple, it is apt to be mutual, the images produced at computer by the model has high Sense of reality, and it can simulate the growing process of the corn root system very well at computer.
