四国中央部別子地域の三波川変成帯テクトニック・メランジェ中の五良津西部岩体とその周辺の地質.地質雑

地形が急峻なため十分な地質調査がなされていなかった四国中央部別子地域三波川変成帯中のテクトニック・ブロックである五良津西部岩体およびその周辺地域の詳細な地質調査を行い,地質図を作成した.五良津西部岩体は,構造的下位から上位へ,かんらん岩,単斜輝石角閃石岩,ざくろ石緑れん石角閃岩,ざくろ石白色雲母角閃岩,大理石,緑れん石石英岩および曹長石白色雲母石英片岩の7つの岩相に区分された.これらの岩相の変成岩の原岩は,それぞれ超苦鉄質岩,はんれい岩,塩基性火山砕屑岩,石灰岩,石灰岩の混ざった珪質堆積岩および泥質岩である.周囲の三波川結晶片岩の塩基性片岩が珪質片岩を伴うのに対して,五良津西部岩体は大理石に富む.これらの結果より,五良津西部岩体の原岩は,頂部に礁性石灰岩を伴う海山,海台あるいは島弧のような海洋プレート上の高まりであったと考えられる.
