Apparatus and method for diagnosing lesion using categorized diagnosis model

Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for diagnosing a lesion using a categorized diagnosis model. A lesion diagnosis apparatus using a categorized diagnosis model of the present invention can include: a model generation part which classifies a number of learning data into one or more categories according to a predetermined criterion, and generates and stores a categorized diagnosis model by learning the classified learning data; a model selection part for selecting at least one diagnosis model to diagnose a lesion of a patient among the stored categorized diagnosis model; and a lesion judgment part for performing diagnosis of lesion by using at least one diagnosis model selected in the model selection part and a lesion characteristics value extracted from acquired image data of the patient who is to be diagnosed.
