MODIFIED HOLE EXPANSION TEST

This article presents the proposal for modi Þ cation of the Hole Expansion test so that HE index measurements are possible on steel strips of 50mm in width after heat treatment with Gleeble 3800 simulator. The tooling which can operate with Zwick Z250 testing machine to allow the determination of HE index on modi Þ ed steel strip test pieces was designed and made. The HE index measurements taken on DP steel strips have con Þ rmed the suitability of the developed research test.
