Developments in foliage penetration radar

Radars have been developed to detect buildings and vehicles under dense foliage using Synthetic Aperture Radar modes. More recently, systems and waveforms have been developed to detect moving vehicles and people in the presence of foliage clutter and signal loss. This paper summarizes the system design aspects of FOPEN SAR, and points to future developments for multimode operation.
