Motor neuron disease like syndrome with long term organophosphate exposure: case report

Pesticide exposure was shown to be associated with more than two-fold increase in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) risk, with greater risk at higher levels of exposure. Most studies of moderate pesticide exposure have found increased prevalence of neurological symptoms. Here, we report a 63 yearold male patient with motor neuron disease (MND) like syndromes with a history of organophosphate (gestathion) exposure for at least twenty years.
