Real-time filtering system on content semantics for live broadcasting

Currently, digital broadcasting runs to make more user-friendly TV watching environment by offering personalized broadcasting services that can adapt to viewer's intention or preference. As one of the services, a real-time broadcasting content filtering could provide a useful function that a TV viewer can find or store desired scenes from programs of multiple channels while watching his/her favorite program on a main channel. In this paper, therefore, we propose a real-time filtering system of broadcasting content semantics and implement it in a TV terminal such as a set-top box or a personal video recorder. The usefulness of the broadcasting content filtering is verified with sport videos on an agent-based intelligent broadcasting system.
