Low cost de─energizing warning meter algorithm for sensitive loads

De-energization is a concerning issue in household or industrial environments where sensitive loads are installed. Block-out services may occur if a microcontrol's fault event takes place after the SMPS output sustain time. Although several mitigating methods have been implemented to minimize its effects, a fast ac mains voltage inlet monitoring procedure could detect such an event before the sustain time ends. Hence, a method for in-advance quick detection is needed. In this paper, that proposed method is briefly spread and some results proving its speed, reliability and accuracy are shown.
